Calm Island China is hiring a User Interaction Designer to join our educational product team, working to provide the best learning products for children ages 3-8 years old and tools for parents and teachers to follow students’ progress. We focus on data driven learning, intuitive and user-centered design, and providing an effective learning experience.

Most importantly, you will…

Develop standard UI components and style guides.

Effectively communicate your designs to developers and other key stakeholders.

Address product, marketing and business needs.

Provide support for multiple projects in active development.

Work with UX designers to conduct, observe and analyze usability testing sessions.

Develop consistent, intuitive architectures and responsive design.

Support the QA team to make sure features are implemented as intended.

Conduct industry research and stay up-to-date on best practices, competitor UI designs and emerging technologies.

You should have…

3-5 years' experience in user interaction design.

Ability to innovate and develop out-of-the-box solutions to complex user interaction problems.

Strong communication skills in Chinese and English.

Willingness to seek and receive constructive feedback on your work, and implement changes as required.

A keen interest in educational design best practices.
