Responsibilities:

Sample Inspections

• Review samples for correct construction, specification, quality and product safety. Make sure the pattern, fitting, measurement, appearance and other specifications of samples are adhered to customer’s requirements before sending out for approval.

• Ability to train factory technician to understand customer’s technical and fit requirement and enhance their technical level. Work with them to solve technical problems and give advice for corrective and preventive action.

Production Follow-up and Control

• 
  Conduct pre-production meeting with factories.

• Well understand and communicate customer’s quality requirements to factories

• Check if materials used for bulk production are of acceptable quality

• Anticipate quality issues that may arise in the manufacturing process

• Identify and provide solutions on production and manufacturing problems that might have impact on delivery and / or product quality

• Provide technical advice to factories to solve production and quality problems

• Specify timeframe for factories to implement improvements

• Ensure timely communication in a proactive manner with merchandising/production teams on production and factory issues which may cause late deliveries.

In-line and Final Inspection

• 
  Knowledge of all AQL standards and inspection process.

• Conduct bulk inspection in different china areas and south-east Asian countries.

• Make judgment on acceptance and rejection of marginal quality cases

• Analyze the claims related to quality problems and propose solutions for immediate correction or improvement.

Factory Audit

• 
  Provide advice / make judgment of whether the machinery could fulfill the production needs and manufacture quality products

• Prepare, consolidate, update and file audit reports

• Degree/diploma in textile or apparel technology.

• At least 7 years in Quality Assurance and Quality Control area with apparel buying office/agent or trader, preferably across all apparel product categories including woven tops, woven and denim bottoms, knit tops and bottoms, workwear, and outerwear. Additional experience in headwear, accessories, and footwear is a plus.

-Open to ask questions to obtain needed information and flexible to coordinate among relevant parties to resolve -problem issues

• Good time management skills to control factories to accomplish tasks before assigned deadlines.

• Team work spirit.
  

• Computer proficiency ( Emails/ MS office) and preparing QA inspection reports in English both handwritten and by computer is a must.

• Working experience is US companies or work with US customers is preferable.
