1. Position Summary & Responsibilities

英文：

• Working on Capacity Enterprise HDD R&D activities.

• HDD level Head/Media Recording Integration & Testcode development:

• Implement standard manufacturing & bench HDD tests

• Modify standard test code to implement new algorithms and to adjust parameter settings

• Failure analysis using bench tester, oscilloscope, and toolkit

• Data analysis / mining / summary

• Head/Media recording performance characterization

• Feedback to Head / Media / CI / MI / RIL teams on a regular base

• Oversea travel to support H/M evaluation projects in major HDD sites (Thailand/Japan/US)

• Collaborate with oversea JP-US experts on product development

2. Qualification & Skills

Education:

• MS or above in Physics, EE, CS, ME, Automation, or related engineering fields

Experience: (optional)

• Direct experience in HDD product development, manufacturing, and testing

  Good understanding in magnetic recording and head / media integration

  Capable of developing special test algorithms to identify root causes of recording system problems

General Skills:

• Good programming skills (C/C++, Matlab, Python, etc.)
• Skillful using lab measurement equipment (oscilloscopes)
• Skillful using data and statistics analysis tools (JMP, SAS, Macro, R, etc.)
• Proficient and thorough in detailed analysis on large data sets

Communication:

• Proficiency in English in reading, writing, and speaking with good communication skills
• Clear concise reporting of important key findings and results

Problem Solving:

• 
  Self starter and initiator for test improvement and finding problems ability to analyze large data sets, look for
• pertinent correlations, and summarize key findings basic logical thinking skills.

Teamwork:

中文：

• 物理/材料/电子/软件/自动化 或相关工程专业，名牌大学硕士及以上学历。

• 曾参与硬盘产品设计开发，制造和测试；对于磁记录工作原理有深刻理解；有参与设磁记录系统的计算法代码的经验。

• 良好的编程经验（C/C++, Matlab, Python, etc.）

• 能熟练使用示波器等实验室器材。

• 能熟练使用专业数据分析软件（JMP, SAS, Macro, R, etc.)

• 熟练的英语听/说/读/写技能，能使用英语作为工作汇报的交流语言（与海外专家合作）。
