Under the general supervision of the Operation Manager/Production Manager directs and coordinates Plant Environment, Health and Safety activities to ensure the well being of employees and Company’s compliance to legal requirement.

1. Enhance EHS Capability

Review and developed EHS work procedures and regulations in the Company and ensure all procedures developed in align with legal requirement.

Train and supervise associate and contractors to work under safety condition and requirement. Educate employees in establishing a fire safe environment and provide basic training in fire fighting and rescue.

Organize EHS campaigns, training courses, competitions or contest which will be developed and maintained the interest of the persons employed in the Company in establishing safe and healthy working condition in the Company.

Monitor and track progress closely to ensure its successful implementation.

Discuss findings of inspection with the Supervisor who is in charge of the machinery, plant, equipment, and appliance, process or manual labour and report such findings to the Management, or any other person in charge of the department. Liaise with local government authorities and Corporate on matter relating to EHS matters or issues. Conduct monthly department safety inspection in the Company and report findings and corrective actions to be taken in the meeting.

2. Safety prevention

Assess safety & environment in the company, and advise the Management on the measures to be taken in the interest of the safety and health of the persons employed in the Company.

Participate in any EHS inspection of the Company carried by the Management for the purpose of assessing the efficacy of any measure taken in compliance with the Act.

Assist to ensure that the Fire Safety Standards in the building are maintained at all times.

3. Accidents Investigation and action Plan

Investigate into any accidents, which took place within the Company arising from the use of such machinery, plant, equipment, appliance or manual work, and check the Supervisor’s report thereon and the action taken to remove the cause or causes of such accident.

Investigate any employee-injured accidents (e.g. traffic accidents), which took place outside the company and recommend remedial measures.

Investigate into every fatal accident and dangerous occurrences, which took place or any industrial disease contracted in the Company.

Quarterly Reporting to Corporate on Safety Accident matters.

Accidents report to local government authorities in align with EHS regulations.

4. Perform any other tasks as assigned
