VON ARDENNE needs capable, motivated and experienced Service Engineers or Senior Service Engineers to handle service-specific tasks assigned by VON ARDENNE, like service management for vacuum coating systems (PVD) and the auxiliary equipment. The successful candidates for this position will provide high-quality services. They will support VON ARDENNE′s customers in the Greater China region. The Service Engineers will report to the Head of Service of VON ARDENNE Vacuum Equipment (Shanghai) Co., Ltd.

YOUR TASKS

• Understanding the functionality of VON ARDENNE vacuum coating systems (PVD) and auxiliary equipment;

• Installing VON ARDENNE vacuum coating systems (PVD, mainly sputter technology) and auxiliary equipment;

• Understanding the technical requirements of customers;

• Providing telephone, e-mail and on-site support for customers, also after business hours;

• Supporting customers with identifying issues, troubleshooting and analyzing technical and technological issues;

• Taking corrective measures;

• Communicating with the service department of VON ARDENNE in China and at the headquarters;

• Reporting in accordance with corporate guidelines;

• Any other tasks assigned by the VON ARDENNE service management.

YOUR PROFILE

• Bachelor′s degree required;

• 2+ years of experience as service engineer in a foreign or JV company;

• Good knowledge of PC hardware and software (Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office, e-Mail);

• Profound knowledge about the mechanical and electrical parts of PVD vacuum coating systems;

• Preferred: experience with roll-to-roll vacuum coaters using sputter deposition;

• Basic knowledge about the mechanical and electrical parts;

• Ability to work customer and team oriented;

• Good communication skills;

• Very good command of spoken and written English and Chinese is mandatory for this position; speaking German is a plus;

• High ability to work independently and without direct support and supervision;

• Customer-oriented, problem-solving work style;

• Establishing and maintaining an excellent corporate image of VON ARDENNE;

• Travelling, both domestically and internationally, also overnight, if necessary
