OVERALL PURPOSE OF ROLE
The project manager will be responsible for shaping, defining, managing and delivering a coherent set of activities to deliver the agreed project scope, on time and within budget. Responsibilities include:
Identify and manage dependencies across programs or the portfolio
Support and manage the project team to achieve objectives, milestones and deliverables
Identify, track, manage and resolve risks and issues within tolerance and escalate risks to project board
Ensure that quality is managed in the project
Manage changes (to scope, time, budget) within agreed tolerances or escalate changes to governance boards for
Implement and manage agreed governance standards across the project lifecycle
Ensure the project follows defined quality, governance and sign off processes as defined in the Carnival Europe-Asia Technology project lifecycle.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategic Leadership
Ensure stakeholders are well-informed and aligned to the project including running project boards and steering groups
Implement effective governance and control to ensure informed decision making and effective delivery
Clearly define, document and deliver the project objectives
People Management/Coaching/Development/ResourcingManage the project team to deliver agreed outputs
Identify and secure the appropriate level and capability of resources required to deliver the project
Technical and/or Professional Responsibilities
The project manager will be responsible for managing the project including but not limited to:
Developing and managing project plans
Identifying dependencies across programs or the portfolio
Actively managing and escalating risks and issues, including maintenance of the RAID register
Completing reports as required by the Program manager of a program and the PMO/Demand Management
Analyze IT projects to detect critical technical deficiencies and suggest enhancement solutions
Lead architecture vision, design, integration, and documentation
Identifying, managing, tracking and reporting on benefits achieved by the project
Capturing lessons learned from the project
Take architectural decisions for IT projects in alignment with IT Enterprise Architecture.
Know-how in AWS, Huawei & MS Azure Cloud PaaS services(e.g. K8S principle, Docker principle, application management service)
HESS Responsibilities
Lead by example by taking care of the health and safety of yourself and others
Report all accidents, ‘near miss’ incidents and work related ill health conditions to your manager and to the Facilities department.
Follow safety rules and procedures
Use work equipment, personal protective equipment, substances, and safety devices correctly
Take part in safety training & risk assessments and suggest ways of reducing risks.
Act safely in accordance with our safety behaviors
General Responsibilities
Complete timesheets on time to the standard required.
Adheres to Corporate Policies and Procedures, including Code of Conduct, Audit Procedures and any control related responsibility for financial data entered, stored, or reported via business systems within employees’ control (list not exhaustive).
To undertake ad hoc duties as required.
REQUIREMENTS
Education, Qualifications and Training
Bachelor degree or equivalent
Experience and competencies
Experience of project management in an IT and/or business change environment
Working experience of multi-country company in FMCG/Hospitality/Pharmacy/OTA/Cruise Line
Fully familiar with industry standard project management techniques and their application in a real project environment
Identifies goals / objectives and motivates others towards their achievement
Experience of developing project plans, tracking progress and managing risks and issues.
Presentation Skills
Writes and presents documents which are compelling and unambiguous
Confidently conveys complex messages and information, concerning progress, problems and their solutions
Ability to understand the business requirements and to implement an IT solution that appropriately addresses the business needs.
Work Based Competencies
Knowledge and experience of Microsoft packages, including Project, Powerpoint, Word and Excel
Strong communications skills, both written and verbal
Understanding of the importance for detail and organisation
Skill at managing stakeholder groups and balancing diplomacy and tact with assertiveness
Very good prioritization skills to balance key priorities
A strong customer-centric approach
