JOB SUMMARY

The person will be responsible for the interface between Desmet Ballestra Italy - Mazzoni (DBI) and the local vendors. Acting as coordinator, responsible for the proper performance of raw materials procurement as well as procurement and supply of chemical plant materials and goods. The person will interact regularly with Italian procurement departments (Milano and Busto A.) to identify opportunities for service excellence Should be able to travel to Italy time to time (only at the beginning) to understand better the internal organization. The person will report directly to the OFO division Local Sourcing Manager.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

1. Manage and send to local vendors Request for Quotations (RFQ) generated by DBI and Mazzoni proposal and purchasing dept’s mainly for static equipment and bulk material (piping, ele/instr);

2. Ensure the correct communication between DBI engineering dept’s and local vendors; ·

3. Manage commercial negotiation with local vendors according to under DBI and Mazzoni purchasing dept’s needs and under our local GS manager supervision; ·

4. Issue commercial evaluation on agreed template; ·

5. Ensure procurement of materials and goods in accordance with technical specifications; ·

6. Issue and manage intercompany purchase orders to local vendors; ·

7. Together with DBI’s purchasing dept’s optimise work load distribution; ·

8. Ensure the correct communication between DBI expediting/inspection dept’s and local vendor; ·

9. Together with DBI’s purchasing dept’s ensure local vendor scouting for a continuous improvement of vendor list;

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

1. Degree level or equivalent;

2. At least 5 years’experience in similar role for an Industrial/Engineering company;

3. Knowledge of purchasing, supply management;

4. Proven necessary experience in the areas of purchasing and procurement (base knowledge of supply contract and general terms and conditions for supply of materials and services);

5. Fluent in English (spoken and written).
