Job Description

CATS Colleges operates under four different brands: CATS College – high schools in Cambridge, Canterbury, London, and Boston, USA; Cambridge School of Visual & Performing Arts (CSVPA) – Art & Design, Drama and Music courses in Cambridge, UK; and Stafford House – year-round English Language schools in Brighton, Canterbury and London, and Study Holiday centres across the UK and the USA for juniors.


Job overview The Regional Manager, CATS Boston, East China is an important role in the CATS Boston business with core responsibility for: - Delivery of regional annual CATS Boston sales targets for the markets of East China - Contributing significantly to the development and implementation of the annual CATS Boston Sales and Marketing plan in East China - Working with CATS Boston School/Centres to assist students/agents with accommodation, pre-arrival and other after sales services

Key responsibilities and capabilities

Sales Management Duties

  • Achieve the regional CATS Boston student recruitment target.

  • Drive aggressive regional sales growth in line with the requirements of the CATS Boston business plan.

  • Assist the China Country Manager, CATS Boston to manage key account relationships with a network of recruitment agents.
  • Provide training to agencies through regular visits and training sessions.
  • Support agents’ promotional activities including fairs, exhibitions and interview days.
  • Support agent, student and Embassy/Sponsor visits to CATS Boston School/Centres.
  • Collaborate with the wider Sales and Admissions teams to follow up enquiries and applications to convert and recruit new students.
  • Deliver regular reports on sales and marketing activity and forecasts to China Country Manager, CATS Boston.
  • Contribute to the evaluation and development of potential new partners and products.

Marketing Management Duties

  • Take a lead role in development of sales channel development (e.g. direct recruitment, school partnerships) within the East China.

  • Lead on regional marketing initiatives and contributing to business development.

  • Monitor and report back on market and competitor developments and trends to inform China Country Manager, CATS Boston and marketing strategy and the development of the CATS Boston business.


Performance Measures

  • Achievement of the termly and annual intake sales targets for recruitment of students from the East China.

  • Conversion rates for students applying to CATS Boston through educational agents or direct channels.
