Faculty Positions

Department of Physics and Institute of Astronomy National Tsing Hua University, Hsinchu, Taiwan

The department invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position at the assistant professor level. Successful candidates are expected to teach at both undergraduate and graduate levels. He or she should be able to develop competitive research programs and has the potential to become a top scholar internationally. Research and teaching experiences beyond Ph.D. are preferred. Under normal circumstances, proficiency in Mandarin is required. Applicants should submit a resume, a list of publications, up to five representative works, a description of research and teaching plans. The candidate should also arrange at least three reference letters to be sent to the Personnel Committee, Department of Physics, National Tsing Hua University, No. 101, Sec. 2, Kuang Fu Road, Hsinchu 30013, Taiwan, via postal mail or e-mail to personnel@phys.nthu.edu.tw. Application material for the first batch must be received by September 15, 2019. If successful, the earliest employment starts on February 1, 2020. Additionally, deadline for the second batch is November 15, 2019 and employment starts on August 1, 2020.
