The role of the Marketing and admissions Officer is to work with the admissions team and management to contribute to the success of GNIS through the development and implementation of marketing plans and initiatives. The Admissions and Marketing Officer will work with the team to direct internal and external communications, fundraising, marketing, public relations, and special events and alumni relations.
Key responsibilities include:
1.To develop marketing strategies and organize GNIS’s advertising and publicity campaigns.
2.Develop a strategy to communicate with the international and national local communities.
3.Conduct and analyze market research to determine market requirements and competitor information.
4.Proactively develop, implement and manage strategies to increase student numbers.
5.Actively seek and maintain channels for student recruitment.
6.Oversee the content, layout, image and production of the marketing materials such as school brochure, information sheets, handbooks, website and social media etc.
7.Manage advertising contracts with publishers and internet service providers. Ensure that advertising deadlines are met.
8.Update spreadsheets, databases and inventories with statistical, financial and non-financial information.
9.Responsible for upholding the branding image of GNIS and build relationships with the broader Guangzhou community.
10.Cultivate relationships with various sectors of the media.
11.Assist in Planning and carrying out school events.
12.Conduct the reviews of all development, communication and marketing office activities.
13.Cooperative and collaborative, establishing positive effective working relationships with school bodies, staff, students, and parents.
14.Handle the marketing related complaints from teachers, parents and students.
Qualifications, experience and personal attributes
1.Marketing related qualifications.
2.At least three years’ experience in marketing/sales (marketing experience in education/training is an advantage).
3.Proficient in oral and written English.
4.Be a self-starter and able to manage own time and workload.
5.Detail oriented with good organisational and time-management skills.
6.Familiar with digital and social media marketing strategies.
7.Technology literate in Microsoft Office, web applications, internet search engine applications and social media avenues.
8.Possesses a personable and professional demeanour, good judgment, a sense of humour and a willingness to be engaged in the life of the school.
9.Comfortable making social connections with warmth, sincerity and a genuine smile.
10.Reliable, punctual, resourceful and committed to supporting the mission and vision of GNIS.
11.Being able to take good quality photographs of student activities would be an advantage.
