Essential Functions:

• Develop and implement strategies to improve supplier productivity/quality, and ensure supply chain continuity.
• Identify cost savings opportunities and implementation strategies.
• Lead suppliers audit and improving actions.
• Work with Purchasing to ensure supplier performance is regularly reported and that appropriate and timely corrective actions are implemented
• Strategically lead supplier performance improvement projects in an effort to increase the supplier capability of consistently meeting Colson requirements. Projects may include: process analysis, value stream mapping, process capability and throughput analysis, 6‐Sigma, 5S and Kaizen events
• Participate in root cause problem investigation and resolution through design prevention
• Follow up supplier non-conformance material to proper disposition and implementation of actions to resolve non-conformance’s at supplier facility. If needed SQE will be coordinate a team of technicians to follow up supplier non-conformance’ s
• Interact with all levels of management, including senior management and suppliers to ensure strategic direction, operational and quality goals are achieved.

Position Requirements:

• 
  Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university (preferred).

• 3-5 year of relevant work experience on quality control.
• Basic understanding of various manufacturing processes (i.e. casting, molding, machining, rubber, finishing, etc.)
• Demonstrated Project Management experience

• Proficient oral and written communication skills (MS Word/Excel/PowerPoint)
• MRP/EPR experience a plus
• Demonstrated high level of interpersonal skills to effectively lead, motivate and facilitate others in group situations
• Demonstrated ability to exercise independent judgment
• Demonstrated ability to effectively organize and plan
