Job Purpose

Support sales team on design and specification work, finalizing typical system and floor plans layout and cost estimation on all products to offer in a tender bid and proposal for local in the most timely and accurate manner. This includes partnering with sales to develop product solutions for the opportunities. In addition, he/she is responsible for the efficient planning, scheduling, coordinating and supervising of logistics and installation and reconfiguration of Haworth products as well as executing project management works with minimal cost without compromising the quality of customer service in completing the projects for new clients.


Key Roles and Responsibilities

Bid & Design

1. Work with Sales Team to understand the tender requirements/ expectations.

2. Develop most optimum and economical product solutions to meet the client’s budget and workplace needs

3. Prepare design and specification works on typical system configuration and floor plan layout.

4. Once drawings are finalized, prepared bill of quantity and strategize product solutions to meet tender’s specifications.

5. Work with Haworth factories and 3rd party suppliers to specify non-standard products to customer’s specification for pricing.

6. Ensure tender is completed and submitted on time.

7. Prepare data qualification for order entry and order file

8. Create presentation boards for mockup exercise

9. Provide rendering work to enhance proposal bids

10. Create presentation materials in Microsoft PowerPoint format for sales presentation

11. Maintain all drawings and files in the archive library

12. Ensure the drawings and quotations are submitted on time

13. Work closely with SSC (order entry team) to check order details to reconcile to the project specifications for accuracy and completeness.


Project Management

1. Work with Business Development Managers, Account Managers and Bid and Design team, Order Fulfillment, Logistic Managers and Customer Service Coordinator to specify the required furniture and materials to meet customers’ needs.

2. Develop and direct the work of the installation and dealership customer service team.

3. Co-ordinates with suppliers, freight forwarders, local transportation company and warehouse to manage the orders from source to project site and making sure the goods arrive on time to be staged and installed accordingly to the project schedules

4. Ensure there is total control of the goods in warehouse and on site always in original condition and ready for installation

5. Contracts with and manages independent installation teams as required to meet installation schedules as well as validate and ensure Haworth’s standard of installation is maintained by all installation & distribution contractors.

6. Develop business plans and budgets necessary to ensure project management team and the necessary resources are allocated.

7. Coordinate the delivery, receiving and installation of products and materials necessary to complete customers’ orders.

8. Coach installers to equip them with minimum knowledge on handling and installation of Haworth products.

9. Determine and implement the appropriate corrective action to resolve design, specification, order entry, production, delivery or installation errors.

10. Act as a liaison between customer and Haworth in communicating, researching, and follow up in the event that price or purchase order discrepancies should they arise.

11. Involve the Customer Service Coordinator in the resolution of customer issues and work with them to complete and follow through on Field Problem Reports (FPR’s).

12. Ensure projects are completed and handed over to the customers, project management company and/ or consultant timely without incurring liquidated damages and schedule for them to sign off the Project Handover Form

13. Develop and effectively promote Haworth’s project management services such as reconfigurations and assets management.

14. Ensure all contractors under his charge safeguard the reputation and premium image of Haworth.

15. Verify all contractors’ billings and specify all sales project codes for accurate project cost accounting

Job Requirements and Qualifications

? A university or technical school degree in design, architecture or a similar field of study, with minimum 5 years work experience.

? Project management experience in the contract office furniture industry.

? Ability to read and interpret blue-prints

? Demonstrate problem-solving skills, and a high degree of professionalism and integrity.
