Job description

The European Chamber is a lobbying organization and as part of the work of the Chamber offers a variety of events to members and the general public. The Marketing and Communications Manager in South China Chapter is a comprehensive role and will be responsible for the Events planning and organising, Media relations and development of Chamber branding, office management and accounting, etc.

MARKETING

• Develop and implement a marketing strategy plan

. Promote the chamber activities by developing relationship with marketing channels

• Responsible of the monthly South China e-newsletter edition (South China Focus)

. Ensure the EuroBiz magazine sendings.

MEDIA

• Maintain the media database, prepare monthly media report

. Actively develop new channels for media cooperation and maintain the contacts with local media thanks to the events invitations and Press Release sending.

• Organise Press Conference in South China for publication launches

EVENTS in Shenzhen area only:(ie managers networking dinners, if any):

• Prepare the rundown of event, the budget, venue negotiation price, invitation texts editing

. Promote these networking events and ensure the targeted attendees

• Only for signature events and only for the ones done directly by the employee, contact the designer for event flyer, backdrops, printers for event tickets if any, photographers

Skills & experience

Qualifications:

? Organisational and presentation skills;

? Creative mind and outgoing character;

? Excellent written skills;

? A good team player;

? University degree;

? Fluency in both English and Chinese is required;

? A previous working experience is preferred, at events organising company, Chamber of Commerce or international organisation will be a plus;

? Knowledge and experience of international trade.
