Position: Packaging Production Designer

Location: Haining, Jiaxing, Zhejiang Province, China

Mission:

The Mission of the Packaging Production Designer is to generate consistent and correct packaging for the Stance product lines. The responsibility of the position includes aligning all packaging within Stance, keeping all packaging files up to date, creating any new die lines and final packaging as needed by the brand. This person will also be responsible for handovers to the packaging factory and providing updates back to Stance HQ as to progress, edits or any other needs as it pertains to packaging.

Outcomes:

1. Populating packaging with brand logos, legal, social and any other information as needed

A. Identify any missing information needed or not supplied

B. Tracking progress of any third-party project

C. Provide Stance HQ with samples as needed

2. Quality control on materials and print

A. Visit printer for quality checks

B. Review TOP samples for any major issues in design and execution

C. Adjust and resample as needed

3. Create new packaging die lines or concepts

A. Create new packaging structures on a case by case need

B. Provide an up to date database of available to use packaging/processes and cost associated

C. Update prior season packaging to be current as it pertains to legal info and COO/®

D. Provide consistency across all packaging for Stance

4. Sourcing of new materials

A. Exploring possible new materials or new processes

B. Exploration of alternate options to existing materials, specifically ones that may add a sustainable or eco advantage

C. Alignment of materials/inks/processes across all packaging

Experience and Requirements:

• Minimum of 3 years of graphic design experience in a fast paced and high demand environment or equal competency

• Must be highly detail oriented, organized and efficient with a positive attitude

• Must be able to communicate and work well with people

• Must be an independent worker with a self-starter attitude and initiative

• Must be able to use Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign. Also, should have experience in Microsoft Excel and ability to use Asana

• 3D rendering and CAD experience. Ability to create 3D structures

• Ability to take direction and then extrapolate over multiple executions
