Job Description
POSITION SUMMARY:
The main responsibility for this position is to ensure that patients receive great customer service for their experience at Jiahui. This position will need to help patients schedule and verify their insurance prior to their visit. They will need to greet patients and register them upon arrival. Lastly, they will help patients settle payment and insurance issues at the end of their visit.
ESSENTIAL TASKS:
- Ensure that the waiting area is tidy and clean
- Greet patients and check in
- Update patient’s information in system
- Escort patients
- Billing and cashiering
- Check-out at patient's bedside if it's required
- Prepare quotation for procedures and conduct financial counselling
- Handle calls
- Handle hotline calls (mainly for appointment) after working hours
- Handle enquiries and feedback
- Update physician’s roster and schedule patient’s appointment
- Prepare and maintain medical files
- Responsible for all relevant pre-certification/Guarantee of Payment process for patients
- Prepare insurance claim documents for direct billing
- Perform any other duties as assigned
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
- Ability to communicate in English and Chinese, both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to communicate and coordinate on issues with other departments within Jia Hui family
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Strong computer, word processing, and data entry skills.
- Basic understanding of ICD-9/10 and CPT coding languages is a plus
