教学助理 - 生物信息学 Teaching Assistant - Bioinformatics (Ref.2018/222/01)

Post Specification

Applicants should have (i) a Bachelor degree, preferably a higher degree in Computer Science, Bioinformatics, or related area, earned overseas or with English as the major teaching language, (ii) Good teaching and communication skills, (iii) Fluency in both written and spoken English; (iv) Good physical and mental health; (v) Spirit of team work, as well as ability of working independently when required; and (vi) and be willing to take up other responsibilities as instructed by the supervisor(s).

The appointee will be responsible for (a) Assisting course instructor to carry out teaching in the area of Bioinformatics; (b) Preparation of teaching materials/classes; (c) Conducting tutorial classes (d) Grading assignments, project reports and test/exam papers; (e) Coordinating academic activities for students; and (f) Undertaking other work as assigned by the supervisor(s).

The appointee is expected to commence work on 01/08/2018, in preparation for the start of teaching in September 2018.
