Summary of the Stance Designer:

Position is responsible for the design process and execution of trend research, concepts, and finished designs that lead brand through product. Focused on, but not limited to socks and underwear.

As a Stance Designer, you will:

• Strong knowledge of target market demands, customers, brand objectives, and design esthetic.
• Support and execute seasonal development from concept to completion of factory ready technical design and graphics packages. Includes design and development of styling, graphic trends, themes, art direction, concepts, colors, fabrics, fits, and trims as they apply to our brand.
• Maintain & meet calendar deadlines and requirements.
• Develop and maintain strong internal communication and relationships with sales and marketing teams to promote and an environment of close collaboration.
• Have an ability to provide clear verbal communications, feedback, and honest, positive constructive criticism.
• Be prepared to clearly and effectively answer questions and present work in a sales meeting environment.

We are looking for someone with the following skills and qualifications:

• Experience designing men’s action sports apparel, art, or graphics.
• Strong skills in conceptual illustration, graphic design, and detailed CAD illustration.
• Knowledge of youth driven lifestyle markets.
• Technical knowledge of materials, fabrications, garment construction, colors, and design processes.
• Understanding of retail business environment.
• Degree in fashion or graphic design, art, or other appropriate field and 3+ years design experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills are needed at a professional level.
• Adobe Creative suite - Advanced Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop skills are required.
• Strong portfolio required.
