Marketing Director 市场总监 (Location: Shanghai)
Job Purpose:
Responsible for the entire marketing strategy of all brands. In charge of overall management, direction and coordination of all brands business which will result in the fulfillment of planned sales and profit objectives and ensure long-term optimum growth consistent with market trends and conditions.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Planning and Controlling - provide written specific short term and long term objectives, action programs, schedules which budgets and coordinates with Operations, Finance and Human Resource to ensure objectives are met on time and in the quality at minimize cost.
2. Marketing & Strategies – direct, develop and implement marketing plans and manage periodic dynamic market that consist with corporate objective and be the leader in dine in market.
a) Strategies: Develop both long and short-term strategies of the brand/brands.
b) Develop team work
Maintain good working relationship and coordinate with Operations team, Purchasing and New product development team with a view to ensure a proper implementation of marketing plans consistent with the company's short and long terms sales and profit growth objectives.
c) Evaluation of Sales performance
Monitor sale performance, anticipate causes affecting performance, indicate magnitude of impact on sales and provide Management, Operation and Finance with attractive promotion campaigns to raise sales volume.
d) Cost of Goods and Pricing Analysis
Work with finance and purchasing team to conduct value analysis and ensure favorable
COG ratio to sales through cost improvement projects. Continue competitor and pricing
analysis and try to position our product at the accessible price to customers.
e) Promotion and Advertising campaign
Direct, develop, implement and evaluate of effective promotion and advertising programs
in cooperation with Advertising Agency.
Ensure budgeting control on promotion and advertising expenditure.
f) Market Research
Maintain through surveys of reliable suppliers, quantitative and qualitative marketing information to help refine advertising and promotional strategies.
g) New Product Development
Seek and develop new products by utilizing Market Research data and develop new product based on finding opportunity to address our customer needs. Work closely with product development team to ensure that our products meet quality standard.
3. Being an influencer – As Marketing will get involved with everything ranging from new product development, Store design, pricing strategy, new concept development, liaising with stakeholders whether it be landlords for media placement, agencies for creative artwork, vendors for packaging design, franchisee for following brand standards, new location analysis, menu planning, website development, customer analysis – it is all about getting the right message across to the right groups of people. He/she must be able to get a buy-in from relevant parties. The ability to communicate succinctly and clearly is a must. He/She will have to deal directly with GMs, full understanding of restaurant operations will be essential so that respect can be earned both ways.
4. People management – As he/she will be the first point of contact for all projects, he/she will need to be able to manage and delegate work to his/her team effectively. Coaching and being a mentor for all marketing personnel will be key to driving the company forward.
5. Project management – Be a champion on sales-focused. Able to prioritize on project and responsible for aligning all team members (from different departments, from IT through to Project), and making sure communication is consistent, clear and up to date.
6. Data-driven – focus on online platforms. Understanding how to effectively plan and understand each marketing metric is key to planning and optimizing an effective campaign.
7. Contacts
a) Inside the company
Confers frequently with CEO, Operations team, Finance, Supply Chain and the team in Corporate Office in HQ
b) Outside the company
Regular contacts with advertising and PR agency personnel, media and publication.
8. Performs other duties as assigned by supervisors.
Job Specifications:
1 At least bachelor degree in any field
2 At least 10 years’ experience in directing and leading sales and marketing team of international companies or brands.
3 Experience in marketing communication, with good knowledge of restaurant operations and management.
4 2 year experience above In CRM is a must
5 Proficiency in English communication and presentation skills
6 Strong driven for results and leadership
7 Innovative and people management
8 Good connection and networking with the industrial bodies
