Duties and responsibilities:

• Act as subject matter expert to deliver innovative modeling techniques of fractures (length, extension and distribution) from hydraulic fracturing

• Collaborate with Technical advisors and Software Team to develop and test software providing geomechanics solutions.

• Manage and provide technical support and training concerning descriptions of stresses and rock mechanical properties (Poisson's Ratio, Young's Modulus and Compressive Rock Strength) to develop fit for purpose 3D geo-mechanical models for wellbore stability, hydraulic fracturing design, critically stressed fracture on well, field and basin scales.

• Assist in deploying software to clients for field testing and final implementation.

• Work closely with Technical Sales and Operations Support to advice clients on stimulation issuesthrough early engagement.

• Be responsible for geomechanics related technical training content within the company

• Be responsible for technical competency content for geomechanics within the company.

• Integrate the geomechanics software solutions with best-fit tool technologies within the company.

• Provide detailed analytical reports to management.

Required Qualifications (minimum requirements):

• 5 to 10 years of practical experience of application model development in rock mechanics

• Ph.D. degree of engineering or related field with a focus in geo-mechanics, geo-science and materials science,

• Extensive knowledge and experience of well log interpretation for rock mechanical properties

• Strong communication, dynamic and critical thinking, ability to influence and propose analytics strategies and solutions that challenge and expand the thinking of others

Preferences:

• Good knowledge of the standard rock mechanical laboratory tests and their QA/QC

• Good knowledge of formation evaluation tools and techniques
• An ability to produce high quality technical work and on time.

• Experience in Petroleum Engineering, geology, and/or a corporate/functional business background.
