Job Opening: Early Childhood / English Teacher

PeiQi Inclusive kindergarten is currently hiring!

We are seeking teachers to assist with various duties around the school.

We have full time teacher positions open in PeiQi Inclusive (培奇全纳幼儿园) Kindergarten in Kunming (昆明), Yunnan (云南), China. Our kindergarten has established in the January of 2010 and is currently located in two different sites (广福园, 苹果谷园) in Kunming.

We are looking for long term employment. Our innovative curriculum focuses on “differentiating each individual child’s learning”; observe each child’s natural sense of curiosity, encourage the child to think outside the box, offer Developmentally Appropriate Practice hands-on activities, enhance the child’s creative thinking and problem-solving skills, and increase attention spans as well.

The teacher will be responsible for creating, implementing, and supervising appropriate activities for children in the class, keeping in mind the children’s physical, emotional, and developmental needs. Consideration will be given to those who love children, teaching, and have a positive attitude.

Responsibilities:

• is enthusiastic, outgoing, energetic, loves children, and is dependable,
• encourage, inspire, and educate children ages 2.5 – 5,
• treat each child with dignity and respect,
• maintain confidentiality of student and family information and records,
• keep communication open with parents; encourage parents participate in the classroom
• supervise children and ensure safety at all times,
• organizational skills, a team mentality, and pleasant attitude a must,
• prepare daily lesson plans in connection with weekly and monthly themes to be reviewed by the Director,
• work cooperatively with the Director, Program Coordinator, other teachers and assistants in a pleasant, effective manner,
• other duties as directed by the director.

Qualifications:

• be playful and creative with children, think deeply with colleagues, and learn and grow as an educator,
• Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university
• be able to plan, implement, lead, and teach themes and lessons (activities) based on curriculum,
• commitment to continuing education in early childhood development,

Desired Qualifications:

• have an early childhood education degree with 1+ years of experience in early childhood education or in the field of Education (such as Linguistics, Psychology, Arts in Education, etc.),
• course work in Early Childhood Education, Psychology or Child development,
• strong written and verbal English communication skills,
