COHOST JOB DESCRIPTION - MARKETING MANAGER

Cohost is a community of long term co-living apartments for our members focused on good design, shared community and healthy living. We are a young, dynamic team who challenge ourselves to think differently, and we are looking for the right people to help create the journey together.

About the Marketing Manager Role:

This is a fantastic opportunity to join Cohost as Marketing Manager where you will help to launch one of the newest and best designed co-living communities in Shanghai. Strong experience in a number of the following areas will help you succeed in this position: (i) Launching a lifestyle brand (or hotel brand), (ii) Marketing strategy, (iii) Advertising campaign development, planning, implementation, (iv) Event marketing, (v) PR management, (vi) Digital and social marketing.

You are a go-getter, pro-active marketer that combines ideas with the ability to execute and you will be responsible for the day-to-day marketing of our properties and brand. Our key market is the creative community, so being an intimate member with relevant contacts is ideal and will go a long way to truly understanding Cohost and its positioning.

We are a start-up so the Cohost experience is also dependent on what you make of it ... meaning we want you to show up, speak up, contribute, and build the brand together. And as a start-up, everyone is expected to help and pitch in where we can as we open more properties across Shanghai, following the successful launch of our first project in the West Bund.

Responsibilities:

• Development & Implementation of Marketing Strategy – Help evolve and develop Cohost’s overall marketing strategy, positioning and visual identity considering both long term vision and short term goals. You are voice of the brand and the consumer within the leadership team.

• Build and Engaged Community – Cohost is building both the brand and the category of Co-Living and you will be at the centre of the community’s development. You will have demonstrated experience in acquisition, engagement and loyalty building activities. Your responsibilities will include:

• Event Marketing – Our space is our greatest marketing asset. Develop a strategy/program that leverages our space and manage the event.

• Partnerships / Collaborations – Develop and secure strategic partnerships and collaborations that help extend the Cohost brand with like-minded brands and companies.

• Social & Digital Marketing – Manage day-to-day digital marketing efforts (in collaboration with our on-site Community Team) to attract, engage, and convert new members.

• Establish Clear position within PR & Media – Ability to promote and communicate the Cohost brand persuasively to the appropriate outlets, maximizing reach and effectiveness. You will be one of the faces of our brand, working closely with our partners and media to tell compelling stories on Co-Living and Cohost.

Qualifications:

• Demonstrated experience in acquisition, retention and building long-term brand loyalty within communities both online and in physical experiences

• Passionate about Co-Living, Creative Communities, Property and Space

• University education with 4+ years marketing, social media and or public relations experience

• Exceptional organizational, communication and presentation skills

• Written and spoken fluency in Chinese and English (essential)

• Flexibility and Adaptability to work in a fast growing business and work within a budget

• Ability to interact within a wide range of people and solve problems involving tenants, personnel, finances, equipment failure, emergency situations, etc.

• Previous hotel, leasing or property experience preferred

Compensation Package:
