Job description:

? You are part of an international purchasing team operating in various locations at home and abroad.

? You manage internal and external teams and are in charge of the entire purchasing process from strategy to operations.

? As a thought-leader in the field of global purchasing you participate in multidisciplinary project teams.

? You develop and implement purchasing strategies and procedures for new and existing products with new and existing suppliers, and you release and implement new and existing parts with new and existing suppliers.

? You select and manage qualified suppliers and focus on quality control of the parts in order to meet the customer’s specifications.

? You are responsible for large and small projects with an order value of up to many millions of euros and an attractive international component.

? You rely on your in-depth technical knowledge of business requirements, market trends and suppliers in the automotive world. Besides the price-technical grounds, you also consider sustainability and preservation of customer/supplier relationships.

? You are responsible for continuous improvements, including market research, price analyses and benchmarking, cost reductions, supplier’s product and quality improvements, and process Q level.

? You ensure that expenses remain in line with the company budget.

Profile:

? You are an experienced buyer with a technical education (Bachelor/Master) and an innovative vision regarding purchasing processes.

? In previous positions in prominent organizations you acquired adequate know-how to estimate complex process environments. You feel instinctively home in a rapidly evolving setting and you have a hands-on mentality.

? You have thorough knowledge and responsibility in the field of purchasing automotive and high-tech products.

? You have strong project management skills.

? You have excellent knowledge of written and spoken English.

? You are willing to travel.

? Over 10 years in relevant function
