College of Mechanical and Vehicle Engineering at Hunan University in China is seeking to fill positions of distinguished professor in advanced manufacturing, electromechanical control, robot, new energy automobile, to lead the interdisciplinary research in order to implement its strategic planning of attracting high-level talents. The details are as follows:

一、湖南大学机械与运载工程学院简介

Profile of HNU College of Mechanical and Vehicle Engineering

机械与运载工程学院的前身为1908年兴办的机械科，是湖南大学历史最悠久的院系之一。学院现设有机械工程、力学、动力工程及工程热物理等3个一级学科，8个二级学科博士点、10个硕士点，其中机械工程学科为国家重点一级学科，机械工程、力学拥有一级学科博士学位授予权和博士后流动站；设置有机械设计制造及其自动化、车辆工程、能源与动力工程、工业工程、工程力学等5个本科专业；建有国家高效磨削工程技术研究中心和汽车车身先进设计制造国家重点实验室等多个国家级、部省级科研机构。

College of Mechanical and Vehicle Engineering can be traced back to the mechanical major initiated in 1908, which is one of the most time-honored colleges in Hunan University. The college has three disciplines namely mechanical engineering, mechanics, and power engineering & engineering thermophysics, eight doctoral programs and master degree programs of sub-disciplines. Among the disciplines, mechanical engineering is ranked as a national key discipline, and together with mechanics, have been authorized to confer doctorate degrees and set up doctoral research stations. The college also sets five undergraduate programs including mechanical design & manufacturing & automation, vehicle engineering, energy and power engineering, industrial engineering, and engineering mechanics. Several research institutions at the state, ministry and provincial level have been established such as the National Engineering Research Center for High Efficiency Grinding and the State Key Laboratory of Advanced Design and Manufacturing of Vehicle Body.

学院以建设高水平研究型学院为奋斗目标，秉持“实事求是，敢为人先”的理念，在学科建设、人才培养、教学科研、社会服务等方面取得了一系列标志性成果。近几年来获得国家级科研奖励4项、部省级科技奖励30多项；获得国家级教学成果奖3项、部省级教学成果奖10余项，承担两个国家大学生人才培养试验区建设项目，在国际国内大学生科技竞赛中多次获奖。学院与多所国际知名大学建立了合作关系，与多家国内外知名企业建立了良好的产学研合作机制。目前，学院正密切结合国家社会和经济发展需要，全面深入贯彻落实科学发展观，实施“十二五”规划，推行综合管理体制改革，为实现学院的全面协调可持续发展而开拓创新、再创辉煌。

Targeting to building a high level research-oriented college, and adhering to the principle of “seeking truth from facts and daring to be pioneer”, College of Mechanical and Vehicle Engineering has made remarkable achievements in discipline construction, talent cultivation, teaching and scientific research, and social services. In recent years, the teachers of the college have obtained 4 state level rewards and over 30 ministry and provincial level rewards for its scientific research, and acquired 3 state level and over 10 ministry and provincial level rewards for its teaching achievements. It has undertaken 2 state level pilot programs on university student cultivation, and won prizes in international and domestic scientific & technological competitions for university students. The college has built cooperative relationship with many prestigious universities around the world, and collaborated with leading enterprises at home and abroad for a joint development of industrial production and scientific & technological research. Presently, to meet the demands for social and economic development, the college has thoroughly implemented the scientific outlook on development and the 12th Five-year Plan of the state, and carried out reforms on administration system, so as to achieve a balanced development and a prosperous future of the college.

To further reinforce the key disciplines of mechanical and vehicle engineering, we are recruiting distinguished professors from home and abroad in advanced manufacturing, electromechanical control, robot, new energy automobile and related fields.

二、聘任条件 Requirements

1、热爱高等教育事业，恪守高等学校教师职业道德规范，具有承担所在一级学科本科专业基础课或专业核心课程教学的能力。

Be devoted to higher education, abide by the professional ethics for university teacher, and be capable of undertaking professional basic course and core courses in designated disciplines for undergraduate students.

2、学风严谨，具有高度的敬业精神、团结协作精神、国际合作与交流能力和业务组织领导能力。

With rigorous scholarship, professional dedication and team spirit; be competent in international communication and cooperation, as well as guiding professional works.

3、在科学研究方面取得同行公认的重要成就。近5年取得的成果原则上应满足下列中的两项条件：①主持过国家级科研项目，并取得重要学术成果。②发表被SCI和权威EI刊物收录（本人为第一作者或通讯作者）的高水平系列论文。③研究成果推广应用于国内外大型企业，专利转让应用成果显著，取得重大经济社会效益。

Be acknowledged in the professional fields with remarkable achievements. The achievements in recent 5 years shall in principle meet the requirement as followed: 1) served as PI for national level scientific and technological research projects and acquired significant academic achievements; 2) published high quality series papers as the first author or corresponding author indexed by SCI and EI; 3) has the research achievements being applied in domestic and overseas large-scale enterprises, and the transferred patents with notable effects and significant economic and social benefits.

4、具有博士学位，职称为教授、研究员级高工等正高职称。长江学者/国家杰青/优青/百篇优博获得者优先考虑。

A PhD degree and professional title of professor or senior engineer is required. Priority would be given to the candidates of the Yangtze river Scholarship Program, the National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars, the National Natural Science Fund for Outstanding Young Scholars, and the winners of the National Excellent Doctoral Dissertation of PR China

5、申报当年，年龄原则上不超过50周岁，聘期内能全职在机械与运载学院工作。

The maximum age for recruitment is 50 in principle. Be capable of conducting full-time work in the college.

三、岗位职责 Responsibilities

1、负责本学科创新团队和学术梯队建设，把握学科的发展方向，提出战略性、前瞻性、创造性的发展思路，促进学科优化及交叉融合，带领团队达到国内领先、国际一流水平的学术能力。

Be responsible for the construction of innovation teams and academic research teams of undergraduate programs by grasping the orientation of the disciplines, putting forward development strategy with forward looking and creativity, promoting discipline optimization and interdisciplinary integration, so as to build a leading academic team domestic and worldwide.

2、讲授本科生核心课程，指导青年教师和研究生提高教学科研水平。

Give lectures on core courses for undergraduate students, and guide the young teachers and graduate students to improve teaching and scientific research capabilities.

3、面向机械与运载领域的重大战略需求和科学技术前沿，积极承担国家及我省重大科研项目，开展原创性研究和关键共性技术应用研究，取得重大标志性成果，并积极推进科技成果向本行业的转化和产业化。

Orienting to important strategic demands and advanced scientific technology in mechanical and vehicle engineering, undertake key scientific research projects at national and provincial level, conduct original study and research on the application of key generic technology to acquire outstanding achievements, and accelerate the transformation of the research achievements as well as industrialization.

四、聘期 Employment Period

聘期为五年。

五、政策待遇 Compensation and Benefits

1、特聘教授在聘期内享受每年不低于20万元人民币岗位津贴，特别优秀者可面议。

Annual subsidies no less than 200,000 RMB will be provided for the distinguished professor (negotiable for the candidates with special experience and especially outstanding academic records).

2、对受聘上岗的特聘教授按照“突出重点、注重效益、择优支持”的原则以项目形式提供科研支持经费。科研项目必须与所聘岗位的学科方向相一致，有明确的研究任务和目标。项目资助经费额度、配套渠道和管理方式按湖南大学有关规定执行。

Special supporting funds will be provided for the scientific research project of the employed distinguished professor selected on its merits on significance and effectiveness. The project orientation shall coincide with the designated discipline of employment with specific tasks and targets. The amount of the funds and related arrangement and management shall be acted in accordance with relevant regulations of Hunan University.

3、学院积极支持特聘教授组建学术团队和申请国家重大科研项目，并通过项目牵引促进学术梯队建设。

Distinguished professor is encouraged to organize academic team to apply for key scientific research project at national level, and hence further enhance the construction of the team.

4、其他待遇根据具体情况商定。

Other benefits are negotiable depending on actual conditions.

六、应聘材料及应聘方式 Application Documents

申请人填写“湖南大学机械与运载工程学院特聘教授申报书”一式1份（双面打印并胶装），并报PDF格式电子版1份。同时提供佐证材料1份(装订成一册，双面打印并胶装)，佐证材料包括：

The applicant shall fill the Application Form of Distinguished Professor of HUN College of Mechanical and Vehicle Engineering and submit a PDF copy electronically. The application form shall also be printed on both sides with perfect binding. The applicant shall submit the supporting materials as well. These paper copies shall be bound into one volume and printed on both sides. The supporting materials are as follow.

（1）佐证材料目录(须标注页码)；

（2）学历、学位证、身份证或国外居住证、专业技术职务证明复印件；

（3）推荐表中列举的所有科研项目、获奖及授权专利情况的证明复印件；

（4）推荐表中列举的所有论文的全文及其刊载杂志封面、目录的复印件，以及推荐表中列举的其他代表性著作封面、目录、版权页和论文首页复印件；

（5）推荐表中列举的SCI与EI收录以及论文他引情况的证明(原件，须经有关检索机构盖章)；

（6）推荐人选在国外任职或在国内担任重要职务的任职证明；

（7）在国际学术会议上担任职务的证明以及所作大会报告、特邀报告的邀请信或通知复印件。

(1) The content of supporting materials shall be paged.

(2) Copies of diploma, degree certificate, identification card, residence permit of foreign countries and certificate of professional and technical qualification.

(3) Copies of scientific research projects, honor certificates and patent authorization certificates mentioned in the recommendation form.

(4) Copies of the full text of the papers mentioned in the recommendation form and copies of the covers and contents of the journals in which these papers are published as well as copies of the covers, contents, copyright pages and title page of representative works described in the recommendation form.

(5) Copies of papers indexed by SCI or EI and citation mentioned in the recommendation form (the originals shall be approved and sealed by relevant searching authorities.)

(6) Documentary evidence of the candidates/applicants’ appointment in overseas or domestic organizations

(7) Copies of appointment of international academic conferences as well as invitation letter or notification on delivering a speech at the conferences.
