Tenure-Track Faculty Positions in Management

The Institute of Technology Management (ITM) at National Tsing Hua University (NTHU) in

Taiwan is seeking to hire one or more open rank (i.e., assistant professor or above) faculty members

in management. We are particularly interested in candidates with expertise and backgrounds in

psychology, sociology, or technology management. Nevertheless, all social science-related

disciplines will be considered. Highly qualified candidates trained in business management,

sociology, political science, law, economics, anthropology, psychology, or science, technology and

society (STS) are all invited to apply.

Applicants should be passionate researchers with a commitment to excellence in teaching and

mentoring. ITM is a graduate-level institute in the College of Technology Management (CTM).

Most teaching will be at the graduate level. Applicants are encouraged to delineate how they could

include students in their research projects. The successful candidates are expected to contribute to

the master’s and doctoral programs in ITM, as well as to professional degree programs in CTM (e.g.,

MBA, EMBA). The ability to train students in quantitative or qualitative methods would be highly

valued. The ability to teach in both English and Mandarin, although not required, would also be

Salary, benefits, and leave policies will be commensurate with experience and credentials.

Candidates should understand that at every national-level public university in Taiwan, salary scales

and benefits are set by the government regulations based on positional rank.

Ph.D. degree or equivalent must be in hand prior to appointment, which may begin as early as in the

fall semester of 2019. The starting date is negotiable. The successful candidates are expected to

teach three to four courses per year.
