This position is responsible for revenue generation by selling products either internally or externally, direct or indirect. The Product Business Development Manager is also required to provide technical support for assigned product line/s. Supports direct and indirect selling resources in assigned territory to achieve sales goals by product development or application support for assigned product line/s. You will also assist with designing solutions based upon customer and industry needs and provides feedback to product management as needed for future product strategy and development.
Demand generation
1. Study market trends and frequently identify upcoming project opportunities in which the product would be successful
2. Work with Engineering Consultants in Pre FEED and FEED stages to specify product and create strategic advantages related to the specific product unique selling points
3. Two way communication with Product Engineering by providing voice of customer (market demands) and marketing of new product developments in region.
4. Internal and External Product Training. Customer interactions including on-site demonstrations, seminars, lunch and learn etc. Able to deliver white paper to a technical audience.
Sales
1. Link between Sales team, AE team, PMO team and factory.
2. Responsible for the application team related to product.
3. Interaction with customers when required by outside sales for specialist support. May be required in final negotiations to close the deal and make strategic and technical decisions related to the specific product.
4. Pipeline analysis and review with outside sales team. Drive product bookings.
5. Accountable for PL sales in region – primarily measured by bookings number.
Perfect execution
1. Support PMO when required. Occasional interaction with factories to assist and streamline difficult execution issues.
Qualification
1. Bachelor degree or above, major in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Automation and related majors are preferred.
2. At least 3 years working experience in product management or application engineer, or business development management with a similar role
3. Strong product and industry knowledge.
4. Full of passion and responsible, working independently and collaborative; strong interpersonal, result driven and good influencing skills.
5. With high standard of business ethic and sense of responsibility
6. Honesty, integrity, diligence and good team work spirit.
7. English and Chinese proficiency.
8. Good health, can work under pressure and travel frequently.
