Responsibilities:

The internship is designed to give interns a valuable educational/work experience, with exposure to a wide range of work to develop their interest in both government relations and corporate communications.
  • Communicate with external stakeholders such as vendors or PR agencies on a regular basis to secure the success of policy monitoring and analysis;
  • Facilitate analytical pieces on Chinese policy, government events and business trends;
  • Maintain communication with Shanghai local government bodies/their affiliated associations;
  • Support media relations and event management on a need basis;
  • Work closely with cross functional teams to delivery results;
  • Provide administrative assistance to GA team;
  • Other similar duties as assigned.

Requirements:
  • Currently enrolled in an accredited university as a full-time undergraduate or graduate student, preferably major in Communications, Journalism, Advertising, Marketing or Political Science or with similar internship experience;
  • Strong interest in pursuing a career in corporate communications and/or government relations;
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in Mandarin and English;
  • Ability to translate from Chinese to English/English to Chinese;
  • Reliable, detail-oriented, and with strong research skills and analytical thinking;
  • Able to work as in a team and to balance multiple projects independently;
  • Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite;
  • Must be able to spend at least 3 full working days per week in the office.
