POSITION SUMMARY:
Managing a team of HIS/CIS analysts in supporting Hospital Information System with the focus of system implementation life cycle of design, development, testing, training and go live support.
ESSENTIAL TASKS:
? Supervise staff to ensure conduct and services rendered are professional and of excellent quality
? Ensure staff provide high quality support to internal and external partners
? Collaborate with other IT staff and managers to develop, implement and evaluate system requirements and IT standards.
? Coordinate, measure, and assign staffing needs/requirements for projects
? Ensure the staff receive the orientation, training and continuing education programs adequate to maintain and advance the required level of IT skills
? Disseminate and implement JIH and IT policies and procedures
? Serve as a resource person on training matters
? Train and mentor newly promoted / recruited staff
? Participate in the interview, hiring and / or counselling process of the staff. Counsel staff with complex problems.
? Conduct regular staff meeting. Lead meeting as required.
? Appraise and evaluate the staffing performances
? Act as liaison between clinical operation and software developer
? Participate in requirement study/specification, testing, training, support and service.
? Manage upgrade activities to ensure system is intact with all new software releases.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, and ABILITIES:
? Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university, major in health science, or computer science or medical informatics
? Advanced degree preferred.
? Must have previous managerial or team lead experience
? Clinical background is a plus
? Must have software system implementation experience
? Must be keen in using software, including MS Office Suite.
? Critical thinking ability, attend to detail and able to communicate with people effectively
? Excellent verbal and written communication skills
? Must be able to read, write and understand both Chinese and English.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, and LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS:
? Bachelor’s Degree required
? Master’s Degree preferred
? Minimum 5 years’ experience in software development or support role
Fluent in Mandarin (speaking, reading and writing). English language ability preferred but not required
