教学助理（美术部）Teaching Assistants(Art Department)

Position Description:

The Teaching Assistant (TA) supports the work of teacher inside and outside of the classroom with tasks and responsibilities that promote student learning. The expectation is that TAs are paraprofessionals and shall perform clerical work only when necessary. TAs will be assigned to subject area departments and report to the department chair. The department will determine the TA’s scheduled assignments with individual teachers. Should the department determine that a Teaching Assistant needs particular support related curriculum or instruction, they shall be referred to the NCPA Curriculum Coordinator. This is a year-round contract position intended to be an eight (8) hours a day, five (5) days a week position scheduled in conformance with Chinese labor law.

教学助教负责在课堂内外协助任课老师，完成老师安排的任务与承担促进学生学习责任。我们要求助教是老师的专职助手，他们在必需时负责文书工作。助教将被分配到各科目部门，并向部门主管老师汇报，由他们负责评价助教的工作表现。各科目部门老师与EAL老师讨论后，将安排助教任务，协助每个任课老师。如果科目部门老师认为需要为助教提供课程上与教学上特别帮助的，他们将移交给课程总监或初/高中部副校长处理。助教是一个签订整年合同的职位，每天工作8小时，一周工作5天，工作时间符合中国劳动法的规定。

Responsibilities:

1. Assist teachers with planning and preparation of lessons, projects and experiments.

2. Assist teachers in leveraging Chinese language and culture in the classroom, including but not limited to, translation.

利用中文与中国文化协助老师课堂教学，包括但不限于翻译。

3. Assist teachers and facilitate classroom activities such as small group instruction, station work, and cooperative learning experiences.

协助老师和促进课堂活动，例如小组教学、站点式学习、合作性学习体验。

4. Assist with communication between parents and the assigned department teachers. This could include translation, interpreting, and interfacing.

5. Attend all assigned subject area department meetings.

6. Attend all Faculty meetings.

出席教员会议。

7. Attend study hall on a rotational basis.

8. Act as an emergency substitute teacher.

如有紧急情况，需当代课老师。

9. Perform other duties as required by the Department Chair of the assigned subject area.

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Education, Art or other relative majors

本科及以上学历，以教育学，美术及其相关专业优先考虑

2. Excellent communication skills, including strong English skills

具有出色的沟通能力，英语沟通良好较强

3. The ability to work with people of every kind – Chinese or Western

适应与不同文化人士合作工作，尤其中西人士

4. Two years experience in a related field of work
